Therapy can help people who have been anxious or stressed for sometime but are struggling to identify why they feel the way they do. This might involve exploring the role of relationships, current stressful circumstances, lifestyle choices, beliefs about themselves and thinking patterns.
Some therapies focus on what might be the underlying causes of stress (including things like longstanding patterns that emerge in relationships and why) while others provide a more structured approach that focus on challenging unhelpful thoughts, developing emotional regulation skills and becoming more aware of unhelpful lifestyle choices.
