Hello and welcome to my blog! Since founding Headroom 3 years ago, I have spent most of my days talking to people from all the corners Britain about their struggles, dilemmas and hopes for the future. A rich and rewarding job, that has given me an insight into the lives of people across the UK. As a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience working in a range of specialist NHS mental health services, I’ve got a pretty broad understanding of what goes on in therapy and in this blog, I hope to demystify therapy and share what knowledge I have. From time to time I’ll also offer my thoughts on the issues of the day in the world of mental health and well-being but my focus will primarily be answering the questions that many people have who are considering therapy, such as:
(a) how therapy works for a range of different issues
(b) if it could be helpful to them
(c) the differences between different types of therapy
I hope you find it helpful and feel free to get in touch in the comments below. Just to say, I won’t be able to respond to personal issues on here, but more general comments or questions about anything mental healthy will be very welcome. You can also find us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter (links at the bottom of page). I would love to hear from you!
